Tristan Gooijer nears transfer from Ajax to SK Lommel

Defender Tristan Gooijer is expected to join the Belgian club SK Lommel following his departure from Ajax. Although an official announcement has not yet been made by either club, the 21-year-old has already begun training with Lommel.

In a farewell message posted to Instagram, Gooijer expressed gratitude for his time at Ajax, where he had been since the age of 11. However, he included a cryptic remark, stating, “Sometimes you can be disappointed in the people, without losing your love for the club.”

The transfer follows a reported agreement between Ajax and Lommel for a fee of approximately half a million euros. The move had previously faced complications during negotiations, but a breakthrough appears to have brought the deal close to completion. Gooijer previously made 13 appearances for the Ajax first team and spent the last season on loan at PEC Zwolle.
