Tristan Vukčević discusses NBA transition and Serbian national team
Tristan Vukčević, a former Partizan player currently playing for the Washington Wizards, has reflected on his career transition from the EuroLeague to the NBA. In a recent interview, he discussed his time in Belgrade and his decision to represent Serbia over Greece, noting his strong Serbian identity.
Vukčević addressed his past experiences at Partizan, mentioning that he did not secure a significant role there and that his path to the NBA was facilitated more by individual training in the United States than by playing minutes in Belgrade. He also expressed support for Crvena zvezda, wishing them success in reaching the Final Four.
Regarding his international career, Vukčević confirmed that former coach Svetislav Pešić helped convince him to play for the Serbian national team. Despite missing recent competitions due to injury, he indicated he is physically preparing for the upcoming season and expects to be available for future national team call-ups.
