Tériszony survival thriller receives mixed reviews

The survival thriller Tériszony, a sequel to the 2022 film Zuhanás, has released in theaters to mixed reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently holds a score of 58 percent.

Following the success of its predecessor, which focused on two women trapped on an abandoned television tower, Tériszony places its protagonists in extreme high-altitude situations on a Thai mountainside. The film is part of a competitive 2026 summer movie season that has included major releases such as Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey, filmed entirely with IMAX cameras, and Spider-Man: Vadonatúj nap.

Other notable survival thrillers in the genre include Breaking Surface and a Swedish-Norwegian-Belgian production directed by Joachim Hedén, which follows two sisters during a diving accident in Norway.
