Triton Uranium identifies 46.5 million pound uranium potential at Atlas project

Triton Uranium Corp. has completed four technical reports for its Atlas project in Saskatchewan, identifying a potential low-grade, open-pit uranium resource of up to 46.56 million pounds of U₃O₈. The project is situated within the historic Beaverlodge Uranium district, an area that has been dormant for 44 years but has previously produced approximately 77.8 million pounds of uranium.

The reports, prepared by Stantec Consulting Ltd., optimize resource estimates for the Red Rock deposit. This includes an indicated mineral resource of approximately 531,052 pounds and an inferred mineral resource of approximately 27,840 pounds. Recent aerial radiometric surveys have identified new surface-near open-pit targets spanning approximately 11,035 meters.

This development aligns with the Canada-U.S. Critical Minerals Action Plan, which aims to strengthen the North American critical minerals supply chain. As Canada advances its nuclear ambitions through new reactor builds and small modular reactor (SMR) development, the demand for a secure, domestic uranium supply is increasing.
