Triumph unveils updated Tiger 1200 adventure motorcycle

Triumph Motorcycles has revealed a comprehensive update to its flagship Tiger 1200 adventure motorcycle line for the 2027 model year. The new generation features a redesigned 1,160cc triple engine producing 158 PS, an increase of 8 PS over the previous version, with improved torque at low engine speeds.

A significant technical shift includes the adoption of 19-inch front wheels across all four variants—GT Pro, Rally Pro, GT Explorer, and Rally Explorer—moving away from the 21-inch wheels previously used on Rally models to improve road agility. The motorcycle also features a new SHOWA EERA HEIGHTFLEX semi-active suspension system, which includes an automatic ride height function that lowers the seat by 30 mm when stopped to assist riders.

Advanced rider assistance technology is a central focus, featuring a Bosch-developed radar system with both front and rear units. This system supports adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and emergency braking assistance. Additional updates include a new 7-inch display, adaptive LED headlight technology, and redesigned ergonomics. Delivery is expected between December 2026 and March 2027.
