Trivium releases new single ‘Dead Inside Of Me’

The heavy metal band Trivium has released a new single titled ‘Dead Inside Of Me’. The track serves as the first preview of the group’s forthcoming eleventh studio album, following their 2021 release, ‘In The Court Of The Dragon’.

Bassist Paolo Gregoletto noted that the song originated from a riff titled ‘Slam’ that had been developed several years prior. The track is described as blending death metal elements with stadium rock influences, utilizing a mix of clean vocals and aggressive singing. The lyrical concept was loosely inspired by the Japanese principle of ‘honne and tatemae’, which refers to the tension between one’s true feelings and the persona presented to the world.

A music video for the single, directed by Pavel Trebukhin, has also been released. The band is scheduled to embark on a North American headline tour starting November 5 in St. Petersburg, Florida, running through December 19 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
