Türk Eximbank updates export financing and digital strategy
Türk Eximbank is undergoing a strategic transformation to enhance the global competitiveness of Turkish goods and services. According to Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, the bank is developing a new, data-driven, and digitalized business model designed to integrate various financing tools under a single export strategy.
The updated approach focuses on expanding access to credit and insurance mechanisms, specifically targeting the development of buyer credits and project financing. Under the ‘Target Countries in Export’ strategy, the bank has already allocated $969 million in buyer credit limits to 36 banks across 34 countries.
Key growth markets identified for increased support include Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East, the Far East, and Latin America. Additionally, the bank plans to expand the scope of the ‘Reference Commercial Interest Rate Support’ to benefit a wider range of companies, particularly those exporting high-technology products.
