Türk Kızılay launches emergency aid for disease prevention in Gaza
Türk Kızılay is conducting an emergency humanitarian operation in Gaza to combat the spread of infectious diseases caused by inadequate hygiene and high temperatures. The organization is distributing 100 tons of clean drinking water daily, meeting the basic needs of approximately 10,000 people.
In response to rising cases of Hepatitis A, respiratory infections, and skin diseases, the organization has distributed roughly 200,000 hygiene kits to date. To ensure medical continuity, Türk Kızılay also provides logistical and material support to local hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Food security efforts include a large-scale kitchen operation providing 30,000 hot meals every day across northern, central, and southern Gaza. Since the start of the crisis on October 7, 2023, more than 17 million meals have been served. Additionally, the 'Gaza-Cheerful Children Project' offers psychosocial support and treats to children through mobile vehicles to provide moral support to those affected by the conflict.
