Türk Telekom outlines digital and green energy investments
Türk Telekom has presented its digital infrastructure investments, technology-driven growth strategies, and sustainability roadmap to global investors at the 19th Turkey Investment Conference held in the United States.
The company announced it will serve as a ‘Master Partner’ for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31), which will be hosted by Türkiye from November 9–20. In this role, Türk Telekom will contribute to the conference's technological infrastructure.
As part of its commitment to renewable energy, the company has launched its Sivas Solar Power Plant (GES) with an annual production capacity of 128 MWp. Future projects in Malatya and Ağrı are expected to bring the total installed capacity to 530 MWp. These solar energy initiatives aim to produce 800 GWh of energy annually and prevent approximately 350,000 tons of carbon emissions.
CEO Ebubekir Şahin stated that the company has invested $24.5 billion in Türkiye's digital transformation since 2005 and has been the sector's investment leader for the past five years.
