Türk Telekom's M-NEO platform wins Gartner innovation award in Europe
Türk Telekom’s domestically developed energy management platform, M-NEO (Mobile Network Energy Management Platform), has been awarded first place in the European operators category at the Gartner Eye on Innovation Awards.
Developed by Turkish engineers using local resources, M-NEO utilizes artificial intelligence to provide dynamic and automatic energy management for mobile base stations. The system is designed to improve energy efficiency and ensure access continuity within mobile networks. Notably, the platform provides more than a three-fold saving in battery usage.
This achievement marks the second time in the last three years that Türk Telekom has secured a European first-place ranking in this competition. In 2024, the company previously won with its NOVA ALFA (Advance Line Fault Analytics) project, which focuses on AI-supported physical line analysis. Zafer Orhan, Türk Telekom Network Vice President, stated that the company is focused on developing national competencies to meet the needs of next-generation technologies through science-based R&D.
