Türkeli Transformer Center opens in Sinop
The Türkeli Transformer Center has officially opened in the Türkeli district of Sinop to strengthen the local electricity infrastructure. The project, representing an investment of approximately 250 million lira, is designed to enhance energy supply security and minimize power outages, which have been particularly frequent during winter months.
With the new facility, Türkeli will no longer need to rely on transformer stations in neighboring districts to meet its electricity demands, as it can now draw power directly from its own center. This development follows significant energy challenges in 2021, when the district experienced power outages lasting between six and seven days due to its previous dependence on the Ayancık transformer station.
