Türkiye expands Modular Family Education Program to 81 provinces

The Ministry of Family and Social Services has expanded its Modular Family Education Program to all 81 provinces in Türkiye. Originally launched as a pilot in 19 cities in 2024, the program was first implemented in 61 provinces as part of the 2025 Family Year vision before reaching nationwide coverage.

This modernized version of the Family Education Program, which has been in operation since 2013, utilizes updated adult education standards. The curriculum consists of 12 modules—comprising 8 core and 4 supplementary modules—designed to move beyond traditional theoretical teaching toward interactive, experience-based learning.

Training sessions are conducted in small groups of up to 30 participants and last between 9 and 12 weeks. The program emphasizes practical application through group work and home assignments to help parents integrate new skills into their daily lives. To date, the initiative has reached 53,666 parents, including foster families, those in the adoption process, and individuals receiving social and economic support.
