Turkey İş Bankası names Cahit Çınar as new CEO, Hakan Aran to lead Şişecam

Türkiye İş Bankası announced a senior management reshuffle as part of its second‑century vision. Hakan Aran, who has served as the bank’s chief executive since April 2021, will leave the post on 31 August 2026 to become Chairman of Şişecam, the Turkish glass‑and‑chemicals group that operates in more than a dozen countries. Effective 1 September 2026, long‑time deputy CEO Hasan (Cahit) Çınar will assume the role of CEO after receiving approval from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency. The board confirmed that Adnan Bali will continue as chairman of İş Bankası’s board. The changes aim to boost the bank’s competitiveness in banking, finance and industry and to leverage opportunities presented by artificial‑intelligence technologies, building on the digital transformation initiatives launched during Aran’s tenure.
