Türkiye tourism revenue reaches $65 billion in eight years
Türkiye’s tourism revenue has more than doubled over the last eight years, rising from $30 billion to $65 billion, according to Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Nadir Alpaslan. The country has reached a position as the fourth most visited nation globally.
Alpaslan noted that Türkiye has maintained its tourism success by remaining a safe destination despite regional instability and conflict. To further increase the country’s share of the global tourism market, the ministry is working to expand tourism activities across all 81 provinces and extend the travel season to 12 months a year.
Efforts are being coordinated by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, established in 2019. The strategy focuses on diversifying tourism products, including cultural, natural, health, thermal, winter, and congress tourism, to reveal the unique potential of every region.
