Türkiye Zero Waste Foundation signs climate pact with London Climate Action Week

The Zero Waste Foundation of Türkiye has entered into a formal cooperation protocol with London Climate Action Week (LCAW). Signed on 17 August, the agreement focuses on climate action, zero waste, and the circular economy.

This partnership aims to integrate Türkiye’s environmental expertise and polar research into London’s international climate network. The move comes as Türkiye prepares to host the COP31 climate summit. The foundation also recently published ‘Zero Waste in the Polar Regions,’ a book developed with TÜBİTAK’s Polar Research Institute, which connects Arctic and Antarctic research to global climate discussions.

Samed Ağırbaş, President of the Zero Waste Foundation and a COP31 High-Level Climate Champion, indicated that the protocol will facilitate joint events at both London Climate Action Week and COP31.
