Türksat Model Satellite Competition finals to be held in Aksaray

The 11th Türksat Model Satellite Competition, organized in collaboration with TEKNOFEST, will hold its finals from September 15 to 18 at the Hisar Shooting Range in Aksaray. Following a qualification process in August, 15 finalist teams have been selected to compete.

This year's competition attracted 302 teams from nine different countries, including India, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Albania, the Dominican Republic, Sri Lanka, and Northern Cyprus. The event aims to enhance the skills of young people in space and aviation technologies.

The central theme for this year is the ‘Stable Landing Guided Mechanical Actuator’ (SİGMA) concept, which focuses on high mission reliability and zero-error component operation. University students will work on autonomous mission management, developing innovative solutions for orientation control, stabilization, and propulsion systems using various rotor configurations and mechanical landing systems. Participants are also expected to design staged separation mechanisms and establish multi-module data transmission and encrypted communication infrastructures.
