TRM Labs appoints Ziqing Ang as Head of Policy, APAC

TRM Labs has appointed Ziqing Ang as the Head of Policy for the Asia-Pacific region. Ang, a former executive at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Sygnum, and BPI Financial, will lead engagement with regulators, law enforcement, and private institutions to combat illicit networks.

The appointment comes as the Asia-Pacific region faces rising digital asset and AI-related threats. TRM Labs reported that adjusted crypto crime volume grew from approximately USD 123 million in 2020 to over USD 103 billion in 2025. The company also noted a 40% increase in AI-enabled scam activity, including the use of deepfakes and fabricated dashboards.
