Trần Bảo Sơn returns to cinema after 10 years with new film
Actor Trần Bảo Sơn is returning to the big screen after a decade-long absence with the action film ‘Trên con đường mới’. For this project, he is taking on a triple role as director, producer, and actor.
Sơn spent nearly two years finalizing the script and developing detailed storyboards. He also dedicated six months to the casting process, prioritizing character suitability over celebrity status. The cast includes notable figures such as NSƯT Hoàng Hải, Huỳnh Kiến An, Doãn Quốc Đam, Quang Sự, and Kore Hải Anh.
Sơn noted that his decision to direct stemmed from a desire to tell the story through his own creative lens. He expressed that working with various experienced directors throughout his career helped him accumulate the necessary cinematic language and storytelling skills to lead this project.
