Trần Thiên Tú returns to leading roles in historical action film

Actress Trần Thiên Tú is returning to the big screen in a leading role in the historical action film ‘Hộ linh tráng sĩ - Bí ẩn mộ vua Đinh’, directed by Nguyễn Phan Quang Bình. This project marks a significant career shift for the actress, who was previously known for emotional roles in films such as ‘Áo lụa Hà Đông’ under director Lưu Huỳnh.

To prepare for her role as An Nhiên, a female warrior who defies traditional gender limitations, Trần Thiên Tú underwent seven months of intensive martial arts training. The actress reported facing physical challenges, including injuries and intense muscle pain from handling heavy weaponry, which at times led her to consider quitting.

Following her early career as a child actress, she spent time studying in China before returning to Vietnamese cinema. This new role represents her attempt to move beyond her comfort zone of psychological and romantic dramas into the action genre.
