On the evening of 7 August, Vietnamese comedian‑director Trấn Thành posted photos of the opening ceremony for his next Lunar New Year movie, confirming the project’s title as **Em** and promising a “super‑hit” release for Tet 2027. The ceremony featured the crew in brown uniforms and a traditional blessing before filming began.

Trấn Thành said the new film follows the commercial success of his recent Tet releases, noting that *Thỏ ơi* earned close to VND 450 billion and his earlier blockbuster *Mai* surpassed VND 520 billion. He added, “Normally I get nervous at a new project, but today I feel calm, as if it was meant to be.”

The cast remains largely concealed, though netizens have identified likely leads such as Võ Điền Gia Huy and Ninh Dương Lan Ngọc. The director emphasized that many casting decisions were made at the last minute and that he trusts “the universe’s arrangement” to reach audiences.
