Trnava Fair 2026 introduces new vendor fees and market relocation

The Trnava Fair 2026, scheduled from September 10 to September 13, will feature several organizational changes and new fee structures for vendors. To ensure the availability of fresh local goods during the event, the city's municipal market for fruit, vegetables, and homemade delicacies will temporarily relocate from its usual location to Paulínska Street.

For the first time, the city is introducing a two-part payment system for food and refreshment vendors. In addition to fixed stall rental fees, vendors must pay 5 percent of their turnover once they exceed specific thresholds. For example, sellers of specialty dishes like roasted duck will pay 1,500 EUR plus 5 percent of turnover exceeding 15,000 EUR, while small snack vendors face different tiered rates. To ensure compliance, sellers are required to submit written proof of their turnover, such as eKasa or cash register records, within five days of the fair's conclusion.

In contrast to food vendors, artisans and craftsmen will benefit from lower participation costs. Those who demonstrate their traditional crafts while selling products will pay only 100 EUR, whereas those who only sell products will pay 250 EUR. Vice-mayor Marcel Krajča noted that the fair attracts more than 100,000 visitors annually.
