Trnavský samosprávny kraj begins road works in Senica district

The Trnavský samosprávny kraj (TTSK) has launched several road reconstruction projects in the Senica district. On September 28, 2026, work began on two new sections: a 1.2-kilometer stretch of road II/501 through Cerová and a 500-meter section of road II/500 at the exit of Šaštín-Stráže toward Senica.

The Cerová project, costing 466,000 EUR including VAT, involves installing a new asphalt surface, repairing shoulders, and cleaning ditches and culverts. This work is scheduled to conclude by November 30, 2026. The Šaštín-Stráže project, costing 215,000 EUR including VAT, includes asphalt renewal and utility cover replacements, with an expected completion date of November 20.

Both projects are being executed by COLAS Slovakia. Drivers should expect partial road closures and alternating one-lane traffic. Additionally, ongoing reconstruction of a two-kilometer section near Plavecké Petri, costing approximately 920,000 EUR, is expected to continue until the end of the year.
