Trofa Volunteer Firefighters Association celebrates 50th anniversary

The Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários da Trofa recently marked its 50th anniversary. Founded on September 30, 1976, the institution has become a central part of the identity of Trofa.

The association's history is noted for overcoming decades of stagnation and resistance to establish a local emergency response. Key figures in its operational leadership included Paupério, who played a significant role in the history of firefighters within the Porto district.
