Gubbio hosts 61st Trofeo Luigi Fagioli hill climb race
The 61st Trofeo Luigi Fagioli, a key event in the Italian Supersalita Championship, is taking place in Gubbio, Umbria. Known as the ‘Montecarlo delle Salite’, the event features 258 registered drivers competing on the 4,150-meter track from Gubbio to the Madonna della Cima pass.
During official practice sessions, Simone Faggioli secured the pole position with a time of 1’37”37 driving a Nova Proto Np01 Zytek. The competition includes various categories, such as biposto, prototypes, and GT Supercup. Notable participants include Michele Fattorini, driving a Ferrari 296 GT3, and drivers from the RO Racing team.
Beyond the racing, the event includes several side activities organized by the Comitato Eugubino Corse Automobilistiche, such as a Pikes Peak presentation, a tuning rally, and a GT parade through Gualdo Tadino. A new Arena Paddock has also been established in the Roman Theater area to provide entertainment, food, and simulators for spectators.
