Trofeo Luigi Fagioli hillclimb races set for August in Gubbio

The 61st Trofeo Luigi Fagioli, a major hillclimb racing event in Gubbio, is scheduled to take place from August 21 to 23. The event serves as the first final of the Italian Supersalita Championship and includes various other competitions such as the Italian Mountain Speed Championship (CIVM) North and South, the Italian Bicilindriche Championship, and the Assominicar Challenge.

Organizers have introduced several new features for this edition, including the ‘Arena Paddock’ located at the Roman Theater. This space is designed to offer fans continuous entertainment with food trucks, live music, driving simulators, and meetings with racing protagonists. A special event titled ‘Pikes Peak - Behind the Scenes’ is scheduled for August 21, featuring insights from champion Simone Faggioli and his team regarding their experiences at the legendary American hillclimb.

Pre-event activities include the ‘I favolosi sessanta’ exhibition, which traces the history of the race, and a formal presentation of the event program on August 20 at Palazzo Pretorio. The races will be broadcast via ACI Sport TV.
