Isaac del Toro wins Grand Prix de Montréal
Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro, riding for UAE Team Emirates, won the 15th Grand Prix de Montréal on September 13, 2026. Del Toro secured the victory after a decisive sprint against Frenchman Paul Seixas following a breakaway attempt by Seixas approximately 11 kilometers from the finish line.
Del Toro completed the 214.4-kilometer course in 5 hours, 13 minutes, and 16 seconds. This win marks his 33rd professional victory and makes him the youngest winner in the history of the Grand Prix de Montréal, surpassing the previous record held by Peter Sagan.
Paul Seixas finished second, while American Brandon McNulty took third place. The race served as a final major test for the upcoming Road World Championships, which will be held on the same Montreal circuit from September 20 to 27. Notable competitors such as Remco Evenepoel finished in fifth place.
