Trofeo Romano Fogli youth tournament to feature four Italian clubs

The fourth edition of the Trofeo Romano Fogli will take place on September 5 and 6 at the Stadio Gabriele Di Lupo in Santa Maria a Monte. The tournament, established in 2023 to honor the memory of the local football champion Romano Fogli, features Under 15 teams from Empoli, Fiorentina, Bologna, and Pisa.

During a press conference held at the municipal council chamber, Mayor Manuela Del Grande and Mirko Fogli, the son of the late footballer, discussed the event's significance for the local community and youth football. The tournament serves as a tribute to Fogli, who achieved national and international recognition while maintaining a reputation for humility.
