Troika breaks ground on Kelowna middle-income housing project
Troika has officially broken ground on a new six-storey apartment building in the Rutland neighbourhood of Kelowna. Located at 155 Dougall Rd. North, the project is being developed in partnership with the City of Kelowna through its Middle Income Housing Partnership.
The 129-unit residential building will feature studio, one, two, and three-bedroom rental options. Notably, 51 units are reserved for income-qualified middle-income households. The facility will also include a 3,902-square-foot daycare with an outdoor play area, a fitness centre, and rooftop amenity space.
To support resident mobility, the development emphasizes transit accessibility due to its proximity to the Rutland Transit Exchange. Provisions include a nearly $200,000 prepaid eco pass transit fund for residents, complimentary Modo car share memberships, and 17 EV-ready parking stalls.
