Trollhättan Roller Skiing World Cup: Norway and Sweden dominate

The roller skiing World Cup season opened in Trollhättan with dominant performances from both Norwegian and Swedish athletes. In the women’s junior 32-kilometer classic mass start, Norway achieved a clean sweep of the podium. Ingeborg Rystad secured her first career roller skiing World Cup victory after a long sprint in the final hundreds of meters, followed by junior world champion Emilie Ruud Lia in second and Mille Sophie Sveinhaug Aarnes in third.

In the men’s junior category, Sweden took the top two spots, with Manne Bernghardsson winning ahead of Vilmer Malm. Norway’s Herman Wille secured third place.

In the senior sprint competitions, Swedish athletes responded to the Norwegian junior success with a double victory. Johanna Hagström won the women’s sprint, maintaining a composed rhythm to finish ahead of Elin Henriksson. In the men’s sprint, Anton Grahn claimed victory after an attacking climb to finish solo.
