TRON blockchain hits 15 billion transactions as activity surges

The TRON network recorded its 15 billionth cumulative transaction on 4 August 2026, marking a milestone in its growth driven largely by stablecoin transfers. Daily activity exceeded 12.5 million transactions, with USDT remaining the busiest token, accounting for 2.55 million transfers and $28.1 billion in on‑chain volume in a single day. TRON now holds over $90 billion of USDT supply and captured 34 % of crypto‑card volume in the second quarter, underscoring its expanding role in stablecoin settlement.

Despite the surge in network usage, the price of TRON’s native token, TRX, stayed confined to a narrow technical range near $0.32‑$0.33. The token showed no clear breakout, with support and resistance levels separated by less than one cent and trading volume remaining low. Emerging use cases such as gas‑free USDT transfers, cross‑chain liquidity and early AI‑agent settlements have not yet translated into material price movement for TRX.

Overall, the milestone reflects sustained daily use of the TRON blockchain, but the impact on the token’s market valuation remains limited.
