Trondheim authorities warn of measles exposure at Bifrons restaurant
Measles have been detected in Trondheim, Norway. Health authorities from Trondheim municipality and St. Olavs hospital have issued a warning regarding potential exposure at the restaurant Bifrons.
Individuals who visited Bifrons on September 22 between 18:00 and 23:00 may have been exposed to the virus. Health officials are contacting those who were in close proximity to the infected individual to determine if vaccinations are necessary.
Andreas Radtke, an infectious disease control physician at St. Olavs hospital, confirmed that contact tracing at the hospital has been completed. Authorities advise anyone suspecting symptoms—such as fever, cough, red eyes, or a rash—to call a doctor first rather than visiting a clinic in person to prevent further transmission.
