Tropical Disturbance 94E shows high potential for cyclone development

Meteorological agencies are closely monitoring Tropical Disturbance 94E, a low-pressure system in the Eastern Pacific Ocean that shows high potential for cyclonic development. The system is currently located south of the coasts of El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Forecast models indicate varying probabilities for the system. Some reports suggest an 80% to 90% chance of the disturbance evolving into a tropical cyclone within the next seven days, with a specific possibility of becoming a tropical storm within 48 hours. While the current movement is toward the northwest, its exact long-term trajectory remains uncertain, though projections suggest a possible approach toward the Pacific coast of Mexico.

In addition to the developing disturbance, atmospheric instability and moisture are expected to bring heavy rains across several Mexican states, including Michoacán, Puebla, Estado de México, Guerrero, and Campeche, with scattered showers expected in various other regions.
