Tropical wave brings rain and thunderstorms to Colombia and Honduras
Meteorological agencies in Colombia are monitoring two tropical waves that are expected to produce scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms across the Caribbean region. The first wave has already caused heavy rain in Córdoba and Sucre, with additional rain forecast for Magdalena, Atlántico, Bolívar, Cesar and southern La Guajira later today.
In Honduras, the National Risk Management Secretariat warned that a tropical wave combined with Caribbean moisture will bring weak to moderate rain and electrical activity across the eastern, northern and western parts of the country on Wednesday evening. "El desplazamiento de una onda tropical en conjunto con el ingreso de humedad desde el mar Caribe producirán... lluvias y chubascos de débil a moderada intensidad acompañados de actividad eléctrica". Authorities advised caution while driving and to avoid flooded areas.
