Tropico 7 release date announced for January 2027

Kalypso Media and Gaming Minds Studios have announced that Tropico 7 is scheduled for release on January 28, 2027. The title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store, with day-one availability on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

New gameplay features include a terraforming mechanic that allows players to reshape the landscape by moving mountains, creating beaches, or forming new islands. The city-building system has been updated to include curved roads, roundabouts, and improved building synergies.

The game introduces a new political matrix, an expanded constitution system, and a council featuring eight different factions. Players will continue the role of El Presidente across five campaign maps, facing a new adversary named Victoria Guerra alongside the returning character Penultimo. Content includes 10 extra scenarios, over 20 sandbox maps, and a random map generator.
