Trot singer Suk Haeng loses first-instance infidelity lawsuit

Trot singer Suk Haeng has lost the first instance of a civil lawsuit regarding allegations of infidelity. On the 17th, the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court ruled in favor of the plaintiff, a woman identified as A, who had filed for damages.

The controversy began in December 2025 when A appeared on the JTBC program ‘Sakeon Banjang,’ alleging that her husband was having an affair and living with a famous trot singer. Suk Haeng had previously claimed she was also a victim, stating she began the relationship under the impression that the marriage was already broken and in the process of legal dissolution.

Despite her defense, the court partially accepted the plaintiff's claims and ruled that Suk Haeng is liable for alimony/damages, though the specific amount has not been disclosed. Following the initial scandal, Suk Haeng stepped down from the MBN program ‘Active Singer 3’ and paused her activities. She is now planning to return to the stage with a special performance titled ‘A Special Time with Fans, Back Through Song’ in Mokdong, Seoul.
