Troy Aikman discusses potential Dallas Cowboys return

Hall of Fame quarterback and broadcaster Troy Aikman has expressed openness to a potential role within the Dallas Cowboys organization as his broadcasting future remains uncertain. Aikman, whose contract with ESPN is set to conclude at the end of the 2026 NFL season, indicated he would welcome a conversation with owner Jerry Jones regarding any opportunities to assist the team.

Aikman noted that while his relationship with Jones is "complicated," it is built on mutual respect. He stated that if Jones felt he could provide services to help the organization, he would find it difficult not to consider the opportunity. Jones has previously spoken positively about Aikman’s capabilities and potential for various roles within football.

In addition to discussing a potential front-office or consulting role, Aikman has hinted at exploring frontiers beyond the broadcast booth, including potential work with other networks or organizations.
