Troy Aikman expresses uncertainty over ESPN contract future

Troy Aikman has expressed uncertainty regarding his future at ESPN, noting that his contract is set to expire following the current NFL season. Despite his longtime broadcast partner Joe Buck recently signing a six-year extension with the network, Aikman stated he has not yet had contract discussions with ESPN officials.

Aikman remarked that he expected an agreement to be reached before the start of the season, noting that he has not entered the final year of a contract since his time with the Dallas Cowboys. While he confirmed there is ‘no question’ he would like to continue working with Buck, he indicated that the timing and outcome of his own negotiations remain uncertain.
