Troye Sivan releases fourth studio album ‘She’s the Best’

Australian pop star Troye Sivan has released his fourth studio album, ‘She’s the Best’, via Interscope Records. The 12-track project marks a departure from the pure dance-pop of his previous work, opting for a more experimental and introspective sound that incorporates elements of trip-hop, drum and bass, and 1990s-inspired electronic pop.

Produced alongside collaborators such as Jack Antonoff and George Daniel, the album explores themes of desire, loneliness, and vulnerability. Key tracks include the single ‘Party’, which samples Madonna’s ‘Music’, and ‘FF’, a cinematic song about longing for an unknown partner. The latter is accompanied by a music video filmed on Fire Island, a significant location in LGBTQ+ culture.

The album also features a collaboration with actress and singer Lily-Rose Depp on the closing track, ‘Lost Time’. Critics have noted the album’s ambition, describing it as a more mature and complex exploration of Sivan’s identity and emotional life compared to his earlier, more club-oriented releases.
