Tàrrega establishes new table tennis club after 30 years

Tàrrega has established a new table tennis club and competitive team after a thirty-year absence. The project originated from a group of retirees and pre-retirees who initially met at the Casal Cívic.

Coordinators Santi Minguet and Alex Noppeney led the initiative, which grew from an improvised gathering into an inclusive sports proposal with approximately 40 members. The club utilizes both the local sports pavilion and the former municipal slaughterhouse, with participants ranging in age from 12 to 70 years old.

Following collaboration with Club Esportiu Alba and support from the local council, the club officially debuted in the second provincial category of Lleida on September 26. The club currently has nine federated players.
