Tàrrega Hunting Fair consolidates its role in the Lleida region

The 23rd edition of the Tàrrega Hunting Fair has concluded, establishing itself as a major event for the Lleida region. The fair focused on the role of hunting as an economic driver and a tool for natural environment regulation.

Key themes of the event included the promotion of game meat consumption and the increasing participation of women in hunting. The Catalan Hunting Federation organized specific activities to highlight female involvement in the sport.

During the ceremony, a posthumous tribute was paid to Benjamí Sala, who served as president of the Tàrrega Hunters' Society from 2012 to 2020. The event's programming included traditional activities alongside new additions, such as a rapid painting contest and the Compak Sporting clay pigeon shooting modality.
