TRS announces Akash Kolluru as MLC candidate for Hyderabad constituency

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has named journalist Akash Kolluru as its candidate for the Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahbubnagar graduate MLC constituency. Kolluru, a gold medalist from Osmania University with two decades of experience in national journalism, represents the party’s strategy to field candidates from backward classes, following the selection of Dr. Salman Srikanth Goud for the Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam constituency.

To support the campaign, TRS leader Dr. Chitneni Raghu has been appointed as the observer and coordinator for the Hyderabad graduate constituency. Additionally, lawyer Ram Kalyan Challa will oversee strategy and the war room for both MLC constituencies. The party has also designated several district in-charges, including Surbhi, Matin, and Bandari Mahendra Mudiraj for Hyderabad, and Archana Senapathi for Rangareddy.

The upcoming biennial elections for the Telangana Legislative Council will fill two seats. While the ruling Congress party has already announced candidates Sama Rammohan Reddy and Ramreddy Sarvotham Reddy, the BRS and BJP have yet to name their representatives.
