Três Lagoas Gives Property Titles to Six Orquídeas Families

On 5 May, the municipality of Três Lagoas handed over public deeds of donation to six families living in the Orquídeas housing complex, finalising a regularisation process that began with the project's inauguration in 2007. The ceremony, attended by Mayor Cassiano Maia, Housing Directorate head Rafaela Marques and several city councilors, marked the legal transfer of ownership after almost two decades of waiting.

Five of the deeds were issued to women who act as heads of their households – Roseneide da Silva, Silvanira dos Santos Silva, Sandra Maria do Espírito Santo, Elaine Ricards and Cassia Ramiria Teodoro. The sixth deed was granted to Anderson Barroso dos Santos Gomes as the heir of his late mother, Eliana das Chagas Barroso, symbolising the continuation of the family’s claim to the property. The municipal administration highlighted that the regularisation confers security of tenure and the right to pass the homes on to future generations.
