Brazil hosts employment initiatives for people with disabilities

Various regions in Brazil are hosting initiatives to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities (PCD) in the labor market, coinciding with the National Day of Struggle for Persons with Disabilities on September 21.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, employment fairs and professional guidance services are being offered in several cities, including Campo Grande and Três Lagoas. These actions, supported by Funtrab and Sine, provide opportunities for job registration, resume assistance, and information on social benefits like BPC.

In Salvador, the Municipal Labor Intermediation Service (Simm) has organized recruitment drives offering hundreds of vacancies across various sectors. Similarly, in Amapá, a major event in Macapá is set to provide approximately 100 job, internship, and apprenticeship opportunities, alongside health and citizenship services.

These coordinated efforts aim to reduce barriers to employment and strengthen the connection between workers with disabilities and the private sector.
