Três Rios futsal team debuts in State Championship

The Três Rios futsal selection is set to debut in the State Futsal Championship this Sunday at 11:00 AM against Portuguesa. The match will take place at the Colégio Municipal Walter Francklin court.

Supported by the Três Rios City Hall, the project aims to strengthen municipal sports by investing in local talent. The roster consists of the core group from the Copa TV Rio Sul championship and young players from the U-20 category, intentionally avoiding outside signings to prioritize local athletes.

The championship features 14 teams divided into two groups of seven. The first phase runs until October, with the top four teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. Três Rios has a history of competitiveness in the tournament, reaching the semifinals in 2022 and the quarterfinals in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
