Truck accident on A30 near Bad Oeynhausen causes full closure

A truck carrying onions crashed into a construction site barrier on the A30 motorway near Bad Oeynhausen early Thursday morning. Following the initial impact, the vehicle collided with a construction truck parked at the site.

The collision caused significant damage to both trucks and completely destroyed a traffic guidance trailer. While emergency services were initially alerted to a report of a person trapped, no individuals were found to be pinned in the vehicles. The driver of the onion truck was uninjured, but a passenger sustained several bruises and received medical treatment at the scene without requiring hospital transport.

Emergency responders, including 32 firefighters and six paramedics, worked to secure the site, manage fire protection, and clean up spilled operating fluids. The A30 was fully closed in the direction of Osnabrück to facilitate the recovery of the damaged vehicles.
