Truck carrying palm trees crashes into vehicles and home in Limeira

A truck carrying approximately 14 tons of palm trees crashed into two vehicles and a residential wall in the Jardim Nossa Senhora do Amparo neighborhood of Limeira, Brazil, on Thursday night.

The driver was reportedly maneuvering in reverse to park when the vehicle allegedly suffered a brake failure, possibly exacerbated by wet ground from recent rains. The truck became uncontrolled, striking a car and dragging it before hitting a residence. One resident, who was inside a vehicle at the time of the impact, sustained minor injuries.

The Fire Department and Civil Defense were called to the scene to assess structural damage to the property. Local police have requested a forensic investigation to confirm the technical circumstances of the accident.
