Truck collision in Sarthe causes traffic disruption

A collision involving two heavy goods vehicles occurred on Wednesday morning, September 16, 2026, on the RD 357 in Marolles-lès-Saint-Calais, Sarthe. The accident took place near L’Huilerie as one truck was braking to turn left toward the town center when it was struck from behind by another truck.

While the driver of the struck vehicle was uninjured, one other person sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Saint-Calais hospital center. Emergency services, including ten firefighters and six vehicles, attended the scene. Traffic on the RD 357 has been reduced to a single lane as authorities work to clear the vehicles.
