Truck driver fined for hiding license plates to evade radars

A 35-year-old truck driver was intercepted by the National Road Safety Agency (ANSV) on National Route 9 near San Pedro, Buenos Aires, for attempting to evade speed cameras and radars.

Authorities discovered a retractable mechanism on the vehicle designed to hide the front license plate. Additionally, the rear plates of both the truck and the trailer were intentionally covered with mud to prevent identification. Despite the driver's attempts to justify the device as original to the vehicle and his requests for leniency, agents classified the incident as a serious violation of the National Transit Law. The driver faces a fine exceeding 600,000 pesos.
