Truck driver in Santa Catarina stopped by police due to youthful appearance

Gabriel Allan Rodrigues, a 20-year-old truck driver, was stopped by the Military Police in Jaraguá do Sul, Santa Catarina, after officers suspected a child was operating the heavy vehicle. Due to his short stature, high-pitched voice, and facial features, officers believed the driver might be as young as 10 years old.

Rodrigues, a native of Mafra, presented his Category C driver's license to prove his adulthood and was subsequently released. He noted that his appearance frequently leads to such misunderstandings, with people often estimating his age to be between 13 and 16.

Having recently started his career as a driver after working as a loader for a transport company, Rodrigues expressed that driving trucks is the fulfillment of a long-held dream. He currently performs collections and deliveries in the region and aims to gain enough experience for long-distance travel in the future.
