Truck driver injured in Germany and worker trapped in Austria after vehicle accidents

A 46‑year‑old truck driver suffered a severe leg injury after his crane‑equipped lorry slipped on a gravel road near Bestwig in the Hochsauerland district of Germany. The driver jumped from a height of about four metres to escape the rolling vehicle and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

In Klagenfurt, Austria, a delivery van unexpectedly rolled forward at an industrial site, striking a parked truck convoy. A 57‑year‑old male employee could not evade the impact and became trapped between the vehicles, requiring evacuation by helicopter to the university hospital. The driver of the delivery van tested negative for alcohol.

Both incidents resulted in serious injuries and emergency medical response.
